Daydrift Privacy Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

In short: your tasks live on your iPhone. Daydrift has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Only if you use the AI features is the text of your tasks sent away, to be sorted or estimated, and it isn't kept.

What stays on your iPhone

Deleting a task from History removes it. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

Your calendars

If you allow it, Daydrift reads your calendar events on the phone to show your free time, and adds the tasks you pin to its own calendar called "Bubbles". It never changes or deletes events in your other calendars, and your calendar events are never sent anywhere by Daydrift.

Voice brain dumps

When you record a brain dump, your words are turned into text by Apple's speech recognition, on the iPhone itself when your phone supports it. Daydrift doesn't keep or send the recording. If you then sort the text with AI, the text (not the audio) is sent as described below.

AI features (optional)

The AI features only work after they've been connected in Settings. When you use one (sorting a brain dump, splitting a big task, guessing a length, or planning your day), Daydrift sends what that feature needs:

This goes over an encrypted connection to Daydrift's server (run on Cloudflare), which passes it to Anthropic's Claude to produce the result and sends the result back. Daydrift's server doesn't store it. Anthropic handles it under its privacy policy and commercial terms, which don't allow it to be used to train their models.

Nothing is sent that identifies you: no name, email, contacts, location or device ID.

Children

Daydrift isn't directed at children under 13 and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
